File Explorer 2.1 launched, features easier navigation and easier naming system for storage

File Explorer v2.1

There have been many changes made to the new File Explore with the 2.1 update, including a new swipe menu which can be called from any interface with a left to right gesture. We have also adopted a simpler naming scheme for Storage drives. There are many performance improvements as well. Libraries now feature both GridView and ListView, alongwith full file management operations.

Here’s everything we have done in the new version:

  1. Gesture based slide menu, just swipe from the left or tap Current Directory name in the top bar.
  2. Adopted new touch model for multiple selection, only checkbox to be touched.
  3. Libraries now support GridView and ListView.
  4. File Management and Search added to Libraries.
  5. Copying/Moving files between different storage devices.
  6. Easier naming for Storage devices.
  7. “Permission Denied” resolved.
  8. Open As Menu for unrecognized file formats.
  9. Various general performance improvements.
